7 am and my mom has arrived. pack the car and off we go. This is on the way to the Grand Canyon our destination for a beautiful Saturday. here is a field of wild yellow flowers. it's amazing to see the desert change as you head up north.
HOLY DOVE... This is the CUTEST little chapel in the world :)
Here is the inside. it is very tiny has six pews and is so quiet and nice to be in if you are ever in flagstaff you got to see it it really is worth it:)

THE GRAND CANYON!!!!!!!!
So rachael has never been to the canyon (at least not since she was old enough to remember) and she really didn't seem very excited to see the "big hole in the ground". There is nothing like seeing the look on someones face the very first time they see it! It really is AWE inspiring and pictures just don't do it justice! after just one look she is like "this is the coolest thing ever!" 
Great Views! there is kenny and bella and rachael has her back to me she just couldn't get enough of the magnitude of the canyon! That bright green spot just behind kenny's shoulder...well those are trees down in the Indian Gardens!
me and bella! I was so scared that i didn't sleep all week with nightmares of her falling in. I must be a silly ninny cause we had such a great time!
The squirrels are so friendly up here that you can get right up to them! i'm right in his face as he poses for me :) You do have to be careful cause they will bite you as some poor lady found out when one climbed up in her lap and when she wouldn't feed him he bite her hand and off he went! Bella had a great time with the squirrels. she chased them and they chased her, but she listens really well and wouldn't let them get close enough to bite! such a smart girl!************************************************************
The Grand Canyon Cemetery What a truly peaceful place! I love cemeteries!!! i visit them when ever i can ( i'll write a blog about that at a later date i promise).

FIRE IN THE SKY!!!!
OK so the sun is setting on our really really long day! i say wow fire in the sky and bella chanted that until the sun was down. but the day isn't over yet. we stopped by my grandmas to wish my uncle a happy birthday and ended up painting grandmas new living room and didn't leave there til 10 pm!!!! got home about midnight and crashed!!! i wake up today feeling really good i really think we all needed a day like yesterday. life it to short not to enjoy the scenery once in awhile! and now rachael (well me too) want to actually hike down to the bottom! i've never done it and i hear that it isn't an easy trip but you only live once! i'm hoping to be able to do it soon, as in the next week or two!! Wish me luck!
