Saturday night I left to see my son Dillon. I love driving in the dark and I didn't get there until after 8pm. It is so nice up there. Well his neighbors partied all night so we didn't get any sleep. In the morning we went to the Laundromat and grocery shopping then we went into the trees. There is a little place to park which use to be a dirt road open to cars but now is only open to non-motorized traffic. What a wonderful find. It is about 2 blocks from his home!
Its twins!! This is at the beginning of the trail.
Bella on the run!
What a crooked tree!
Tyler, looking cool in the pines!
The first wildlife we came across (except for a grey squirrel in the distance)! This beauty was kind enough to pose for a picture! Bella loves butterflies so I'm really grateful for this picture!
Tyler, Dillon & Bella holding hands, and Amy! Bella loves her big brother!
HURRY UP DILLON!
This is an awsome picture! We came into a clearing and the sky was so dark just beyond the trees. You can see the sun trying to shine through the clouds.

Bella Hitching a ride

AH! we finally caught up to Rachael! And look what she found. I don't know why there is a water hub here in the middle of the trees, but she was fascinated by it. We have been traveling this path for about 45 minutes by now and it is a good thing we caught up to her cause we started hearing thunder so it was time to start heading back.

Its funny how we saw nothing here when we went by the first time, but as the wind kicked up and it got cooler, the thunder got louder and closer together, out came all these pretty blue birds. It was very hard to get a picture because I just couldn't get close enough so I had to really zoom in and its very hard to hold still enough to get a clear picture.

This is the final picture it looks a little fuzzy but it really isn't! You have heard the warnings about wild animals, getting lost, having proper attire and water but what you never get warned about is ninja pine needles! Here the are falling like rain out of the trees. I've never seen anything like it! And when they hit you they hurt! It never did rain on us, and we went back to Dillon's.
